Ongoing Training & Development

Royal Rehab provides structured and continuous on the job training as well as opportunities to study and develop externally. 

We have a registered training organisation (Royal Rehab College) onsite which provides nationally accredited health training in Rehabilitation, Community Services and Health Services along with a range of short courses available throughout the year.

We have partnerships in place with external education providers to facilitate training in order to maintain best practice throughout the Centre.

As a staff member of Royal Rehab you may be eligible for paid maternity / paternity leave, family and community services leave, study leave and other flexible workplace arrangements.

Royal Rehab is currently developing an onsite child care facility due to open in conjunction with the new Centre.

Salary Packaging

Salary Packaging is an entitlement granted by the Federal Government which allows staff members of not for profit entities (Royal Rehab) to take part of their income as a tax-free benefit. Salary packaging reduces the amount of tax paid, helping our staff make the most of their income.

Royal Rehab allows Permanent and Temporary staff to salary package a maximum of $9095 each FBT year on items such as their mortgage, rent, school tuition fees, private health insurance, groceries and utility bills. Royal Rehab also allows staff to salary package a further uncapped amount for Meal Entertainment benefits.

Salary Sacrifice to Superannuation

Royal Rehab allows employees to salary sacrifice a nominated amount of earnings to their superannuation fund through a payroll deduction. This nominated amount can be either a defined dollar amount or a defined percentage per payroll.

Continuation of Service & Transfer of Leave Entitlements

As an Affiliated Health Organisation within the NSW Health Service, Royal Rehab accommodates the continuation of service and transfer of accrued leave entitlements from other public service facilities within NSW.

Research Opportunities

Royal Rehab currently has research units in the areas of Disability, Rehabilitation and Nursing. Opportunities exist for staff members to actively contribute in the research activities of these units.

Employee Assistance Program

We offer an external, free, professional, confidential counselling service to members of staff who may need help with personal or workplace problems that are affecting their well being


A compact library is available to all staff. Staff are welcome to use the library facilities and a broad range of resources including internet access for study and research purposes.
